Martin Luther
King, Jr. said in a letter in July 1952 "I imagine you already know that I
am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic. And yet I am
not so opposed to capitalism that I have failed to see its relative merits. It
started out with a noble and high vision, to block the trade monopolies of
nobles, but like most human systems it fell victim to the very thing it was
revolting against. So today capitalism has out-lived its usefulness. It has
brought about a system that takes necessities from the masses to give luxuries
to the classes."
Socialism is a
political economic theory where a social organization supports the means of
production, distribution, and exchange should be owned and regulated by the
community. The term socialism has been used commonly from Europe. This word
begins in obscurity, with many origins being suggested. The meaning of
socialism both logically and sociologically, it could be contrasted to
individualism. Communism is a form of socialism, communism is an economic
theory. Which means workers have control over earnings of production, and plus
distribution of goods based on the needs of individuals.
Capitalism is
political and an economic system in which a country’s trade and industry are
controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state. Some people
in the world would like capitalism, but only eleven percent of people surveyed
in like twenty seven countries were in favor of capitalism. The people who were
surveyed for capitalism were arguing about whether or not capitalism will
ensure better health. And so far the answer is yes. Capitalism does inspire
more freedom, progress, and also growth. Capitalism promotes people to take or
get some jobs and tasks. In other words become whatever you have ever wanted to
be. Capitalism does bring all kinds of great things from everyone.
I think, by what I
have looked up so far, which was capitalism and socialism. I believe that
socialism is something that communists would pick. And I also believe that our
country is a great place to be and that this country is mainly capitalism. I
like or love how this country is compared to some communist’s countries. Socialism
on the other hand does have freedom of religion, but it does usually promote
secularism. But communism did take most of all religious and metaphysics is
rejected. So in other words socialism isn’t so bad to some degree.
